POWER OF ATTORNEY
A Power of Attorney provides peace of mind so that an individual’s personal and business matters will be handled by a trusted family member or friend in the event of an unexpected health problem, injury, or other emergency.
HEALTH CARE DIRECTIVE
The laws of New Jersey provide for an individual’s making health care decisions to be followed in the event of a serious illness or injury. The Health Care Directive, often referred to as a living will, enables the individual to name a trusted family member or friend to make such decisions according to the wishes of the patient if he or she is unable to make those health care decisions.
Activities necessary to settle estates include assembling the assets and debts, filing tax forms for the New Jersey Transfer Inheritance Tax to obtain tax waivers for assets, preparation of a simple or formal accounting for the beneficiaries, and preparation and filing of a Refunding Bond and Release for each beneficiary.
